AI meeting assistant

An AI meeting assistant that answers while the call is still going

Troopa is an AI meeting assistant for calls on Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. It is a desktop app for your Mac, Windows PC or Ubuntu computer that listens in on your calls from there.

Say “Hi Troopa” and ask, or type in the pill where only you see it, and the answer appears on your screen during the call, drawn from what has been said, your recent meetings and the documents you gave it. When the call ends, Troopa writes the notes.

How it works

  1. STEP 1

    Install Troopa and sign in

Download the app for your Mac, Windows PC or Ubuntu computer, open it, and sign in or create your account.

  2. STEP 2

    Join your call as usual

When Teams, Zoom or your browser starts using the microphone for a call, Troopa offers to listen in. Choose Listen in.

  3. STEP 3

    Ask, then read the notes

Say “Hi Troopa” and ask, or type the question into Troopa. When the call ends, the notes are on the meeting’s page.

On your meeting platform

  • Microsoft Teams

    Troopa for Microsoft Teams

In the Teams app on a Mac or a PC, with nothing added to Teams and no Copilot licence for anybody on the call.

  • Zoom

    Troopa for Zoom

In the Zoom app on a Mac, a PC or Ubuntu, with no Zoom account to connect, whichever Zoom plan the meeting is on.

  • Google Meet

    Troopa for Google Meet

In Meet in your browser, with no extension to install, from a personal Google account or a Workspace one.

What it answers from

Ask the way you would ask a colleague who was at every meeting: “Hi Troopa, what did we agree about the launch date last time?” Troopa answers from what it can read, closest to the call first:

  • What has been said in this call so far.
  • What is shared in the meeting window, which Troopa notes at most every ten seconds. On a Mac this needs the Screen Recording permission, and on Ubuntu an Xorg session rather than Wayland.
  • The notes of your last five meetings, of any kind.
  • The documents you added to the meeting, such as the agenda or a deck, and on a paid plan your organisation’s library.
  • The web, unless your organisation has turned web search off, and only the question is sent.

Where the answer appears

On your screen, in Troopa. Anybody Troopa can hear may say “Hi Troopa”, and whoever asks, the answer is written for you, from what you have access to. Troopa never speaks in the meeting.

The pill floats over the call: type in it to ask privately, and only you see the question and the answer. It is kept out of screen shares, so an answer meant for you is not shown by accident. With two screens, Troopa’s window opens on the one the call is not on.

When the room should see an answer or a board, choose Present and share Troopa’s window in the meeting. Presented, Troopa draws on earlier meetings only if they belong to the same recurring meeting, so nothing from your other calls reaches the room, and its window carries a line saying the meeting is being transcribed.

Before, during and after the call

  • Before: Ask Troopa opens your day with what to do first and what to get ready. Every Google and Outlook calendar you add shows in one, and Troopa pops up before each meeting with Join & listen in. Prepare a meeting adds its agenda, slides and documents, and Troopa reads them first.
  • During: answers when you ask, out loud or privately in the pill; boards such as a mind map, a timeline or estimation poker, built as you talk; your slides, shown when you ask; and Pause, when nothing should be heard.
  • After: the notes, with the outcome in one line and a name for a meeting that had none. Correct them, ask about the meeting, share them by name or email, or export them.

What Troopa does not do

  • Speak. Its answers are written, on your screen.
  • Keep the audio. The call is transcribed as it happens, and the words are what is kept.
  • Identify anybody by their voice. Names come from the meeting app’s own display of who is speaking, and a voiceprint is never stored.
  • Tell the other people on the call. Troopa shows them nothing, so that is up to you, and in many places the law requires it.

Questions

What is an AI meeting assistant?

Software that helps with the meeting itself, not only the record of it: it follows the conversation, answers questions from what it knows, and writes up what happened. Troopa does this for calls on Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, from a desktop app on your own computer.

Can Troopa answer a question while the meeting is still going?

Yes. Put the question to it with “Hi Troopa”, or type it in the pill. It answers in writing, on your screen, from the call so far, your recent meetings and the documents you gave it.

Who can ask Troopa something during a call?

Anybody Troopa can hear, since it listens to the whole call. Whoever asks, the answer appears on the screen of the person running Troopa, and uses only what that person has access to.

Can I ask Troopa something privately?

Yes. Type it in the pill, which floats over the call. Only you see what you ask there and Troopa’s answer, and the question is kept nowhere.

Does Troopa look things up on the web?

Yes, unless your organisation turns web search off: when you ask it to, and for a question your meetings and documents cannot answer. Just the question is sent to the search, not the conversation around it.

What does Troopa remember between meetings?

When it answers, it reads the notes of your last five meetings, whatever they were, so “what did we decide last time?” has an answer. While Troopa is presented to the room, it reads only earlier meetings of the same recurring meeting.
